Pâte à papier ayant fait l'objet d'un blanchiment à l'aide d'une enzyme à grand potentiel, la xylanase.

OBS

Les tests en usine, réalisés en collaboration avec ICI Canada, de Mississauga en Ontario, montrent que l'emploi de xylanase permet de réduire de façon substantielle le volume de chlore nécessaire pour blanchir la pâte à papier. Les chercheurs prétendent actuellement substituer 90% ou plus des quantités de chlore.
